VIP SKI opens new flagship property in Val d’Isere, France

Introducing eight luxurious suites located in the heart of Val d’Isere

Specialist ski company VIP SKI is delighted to announce the building of a gorgeous new home in one of the world’s best ski resorts, Val d’Isere, France.  Five years in the planning, with the build starting in 2017, VIP SKI’s new home, Aspen House will open its doors for Winter 2019-2020.

VIP SKI has been delivering truly exceptional catered chalet holidays since it started in Val d’Isere over 30 years ago. After a painstaking search for a new home that could live up to the high standards of a flagship, VIP SKI settled on Aspen House and offers customers a property that is designed around the needs of VIP SKI guests.

Aspen House offers an enviable location in the older part of town between the church and the chapel, minutes from the high street, and only a little more than one hundred metres from the piste (two minutes by foot).

Aspen House is even more exclusive than VIP SKI’s old Aspen Lodge home of 20 years. With only eight super-cool suites in this brand-new building, each of the apartments are sumptuously designed creating a timeless aura with classic furnishings and a rich decor. With suites sleeping from four to 10 guests, each will provide a sensational home for a week’s skiing. VIP SKI knows what their most discerning guests look for in a catered chalet and have made sure they will find it here.

After a hard day on the slopes, Aspen House has a funky spa on the ground floor with hammam, sauna and a rather grand tiled Jacuzzi, more Turkish bath than hot tub to relax in.

In keeping with VIP SKI’s style, there is an elegant reception and concierge, fancy fires, cool décor, TVs on all the bedroom walls and bunk beds in some of the family suites. In short, VIP SKI has brought their resort HQ bang up to date.

The smallest of the new suites Loft 3, Aspen House , sleeps up to four guests. Residing above the hub of Val d’Isere centre, the chalet’s location is central enough to make for trouble-free access to the ski lifts and restaurants whilst enjoying enough seclusion to remain peaceful. It is completely unique to have a glamorous property such as this for an intimate group of four. The stylish open plan living, and dining area provides a sumptuous space to relax after a day on the hill with open fire and without doubt THE best balcony views in Val d’Isère. There are two en suite bedrooms which can be presented as either a twin or a double. A seven-night stay at Loft 3, Aspen House, starting 8 December 2019, at costs from £929pp based on two people sharing a room. Price includes welcome Champagne and canapes, a dedicated chalet host will prepare breakfast, afternoon tea and three course dinner on six evenings, return flights from London Gatwick and transfers.

The largest of the eight new suites Loft 2, Aspen House, sleeps up to ten guests; a fantastic option for larger groups and families. Each of the four en-suite room has stunning views over the resort and can be presented as either a twin or a double, one with additional bunk beds (charged at half the adult price). The suite is entirely independent with open plan living/dining area with log fire while the balcony window draws in spectacular mountain vistas, surround sound TV, WiFi and flat screen TV’s in the bedrooms. The comfy sofas by the chalet’s crackling fireplace make for a homely spot to relax together before enjoying a three-course evening meal prepared by the chalet’s host. Andy Sturt, owner of VIP SKI says: “Val d’Isere still remains at the heart of our business and our clients have been telling us for a while that the old building was looking a little tired, the location increasingly noisy and that the front door a little far from the piste. So, we’ve listened, scratched our heads, spent five years planning, and at last, upped and moved a few hundred yards across town. It’s so exciting and Aspen Lodge is a very tough act to follow. VIP SKI started building chalets in 2001 and has built many chalets in their portfolio to offer smart contemporary mountain design, snugly wrapped in handsome local timber and generously filled with impeccable interior design delivered with aplomb – the new Aspen House is the crescendo of this”.

Val d’Isere itself offers the ultimate balance of a traditional village atmosphere, challenging skiing and brilliant après ski, as well as plenty of exciting activities to keep children entertained on and off the slopes. Val d’Isere at a height of 1850m and neighbouring Tignes is the highest extended ski area in the world, with a well-founded reputation for excellent snowfall. Val d’Isere’s 300km of pistes include everything from green and reds to the legendary Face de Bellevarde black run and some of the most exhilarating off-piste worldwide.

VIP SKI already has 11 chalets and one CLUB Chalet in Val d’Isere, sleeping as few as four guests in Petit Choucas , to 24 guests CLUB Bellevarde. In addition, VIP SKI offers accommodation to suit couples, families and friends and shows just how popular the Val d’Isere ski area really is for guests wanting a chalet holiday.
