VIP SKI introduces three new chalet apartments in Courchevel, France to its portfolio

VIP SKI has added three delightful chalet apartments to its collection of luxury accommodation in the French resort of Courchevel, nestled in the Three Valleys, the world’s largest ski area.

The specialist ski tour operator introduced Courchevel 1850 to its offering last year with the addition of two chalets: Founets Amont and Founets Aval. New kids on the block in the glitzy resort, VIP SKI‘s winning combination of sumptuous chalets and expert service has led to a successful first year and, backed by popular demand, VIP SKI has added a four-storey, freestanding chalet named Darkoum to its offering.

Darkoum contains three apartments of varying sizes: Darkoum Makan, Lama and Kalo. These apartments can all be found just across the road from the gentle Bellecote piste into the resort centre – in the same excellent location as VIP’s Founets Aval and Founets Amont – making it virtually ski-in ski-out and a superb choice for families.

Surrounding the apartments, Courchevel 1850 boasts smart shops, energetic nightlife and a myriad of Michelin-starred restaurants. It is by far the largest of the four villages that make up the larger Courchevel ski area which, in total, offers 150 kilometres of alpine ski runs served by 58 lifts, enabling guests to truly make the most of their days on the slopes.

While more experienced, adventurous skiers explore as much of the Three Valleys as time will allow, beginners can enjoy a fun-filled introduction to winter sports in Courchevel’s aptly named ‘ZEN’ areas (Zones for the Evolution of Novices). These four dedicated zones (Pralong ZEN, Golf ZEN, Mickey ZEN and Envolée ZEN) have been designed so that skiers feel safe and gain confidence as they get to grips with the green and blue slopes.

Plus, Courchevel not only offers fantastic skiing, but plenty to do off the slopes as well, with a wide variety of  shops, an ice rink, a swimming pool, cinema, dog sledding, ice driving and much more. WIth excellent skiing and activities for everyone, it’s not hard to see why this is such a popular resort in the Three Valleys.

The apartments:

Darkoum Makan is the smallest of VIP SKI’s three Darkoum apartments, nestled in the eves on the top floor of the property. Darkoum Lama accommodates six to seven guests in four bedrooms and is entirely independent with a spacious, open-plan living area with balcony, log fire and dual aspect windows, where guests can continue to admire the impressive mountain backdrop from the comfort of the satisfyingly snug sofas. A seven-night stay is priced from £1,249 pp based on two sharing and includes chalet board accommodation, return flights from London Gatwick, coach transfers to/from the resort and VIP SKI’s dedicated chalet service arriving 15 April 2018.

After a long day on the slopes, guests can recline in the spacious, open-plan living area with balcony and log fire, while children can continue the day’s exciting activities in the cosy playroom. A seven-night stay is priced from £1,229 pp based on two sharing and includes chalet board accommodation, return flights from London Gatwick, coach transfers to/from the resort and VIP SKI’s dedicated chalet service arriving 15 April 2018.
