Couples, groups and families looking for a traditional taste of the Mediterranean during their holiday this summer are being offered a culinary treat courtesy of Coastline Villas.
The specialist villa company is offering people staying in Mallorca or Corsica the chance to pick up their own fiesta fare from any of the many food festivals on the islands and have the dishes recreated by their own personal chef in the comfort of their villa – no driving, taxis or washing up.
Each chef can help groups plan their own succulent seasonal offering to fit the time of year, ‘foodie types’ may even wish to combine a trip to one of Mallorca’s fiestas with a special dish recreated by their own personal chef.
Mallorca celebrates a number of food related festivals each year, including the Sant Pere Fiesta in late June in honour of the patron saint of fishermen, the ‘Spring Festival’ in Manacor, and on July 9th the small town of Porto Cristo hosts an annual evening festival dedicated to fish, shellfish, and all things marine.
Not to be outdone Corsica has over 40 country fairs which run across the island year-round which celebrate local produce and are a fantastic insight into the Corsican people and way of life.
Each local chef is on hand to create an evening meal or a mouth-watering morning breakfast and they are available in any of the 24 private villas in Corsica and Mallorca.
Chefs can be booked for an individual evening or an entire week, and can tailor their sumptuous menus to cater for every need from traditional Mallorcan or Corsican specialities to fresh fish, with a range of wines to compliment the menu.
There are 14 villas to choose from in Mallorca with Coastline. Villa Ca Na Llorenca is a modern style villa located in the Mallorcan countryside with amazing views of the mountains and the bay of Puerto Pollensa in the distance. The villa sleeps up to 10 people and costs from £663 per person for seven nights during September, rising to £969 per person for seven nights in August. The price includes return flights from London to Palma airport and air conditioned car hire. A selection of UK regional airport departures is also available at a supplement.
The chef’s service is tailored to personal requirements with catering available for up to 10 guests. A fixed fee is payable for the chef and then simply reimburse the cost of the produce for which receipts are provided.
