Brand-new for the 2017-18 ski season, AliKats Mountain Holidays has taken on two sumptuous chalets in Morzine, the French Alps, increasing their beautiful hand-picked accommodation to six.
Chalet La Grande Ourse (Chalet Big Bear) and Chalet La Petite Ourse (Chalet Little Bear) are both based in Morzine, the Portes du Soleil. Comprising 12 resorts between Mont Blanc, France and Lake Geneva, Switzerland, Morzine is a traditional market town home to many friendly locals. With 600 km of slopes on offer, and access to fantastic off piste, the region is ideal for all levels of skier.
Plus, for those non-skiers, there are multiple activities on offer: hop onto a snow mobile and zoom through the woods, clip into a pair of snowshoes and explore the hidden paths, visit Aquariaz – a tropical-themed water park – in the neighbouring village of Avoriaz, and sign up for a spot of night sledging with head torches.
Make the most of the exciting resort and stay at the two indulgent chalets new to AliKats Mountain Holidays, both of which are conveniently located five minutes away from the ski lifts by bus, and 15 minutes from the town centre by foot.

Chalet La Grande Ourse
Built using local materials, including slate from Morzine, this luxury self-catered chalet has a unique and artisanal finish. Chalet La Grande Ourse sleeps 8-12 people in four spacious and welcoming bedrooms. Guests can also enjoy the large living room with an open log fire, fully-equipped kitchen to create delicious meals, a toasty sauna an outdoor hot tub and a ski room with boot dryers, plus Wi-Fi and Apple TV. Admire the spectacular views of the snow-covered mountains through the stately windows in the living room, or from the warm, bubbling waters of the Jacuzzi. As the day draws to a close, congregate around the capacious dining table and tuck into delicious local cuisine or tasty home favourites while reminiscing about the day’s adventures.
A week’s stay costs from £208 pp (£2,500 total) based on 12 people. Price includes accommodation, parking, use of the hot tub and sauna and committed service from the AliKats team: on hand to help with catering, lift passes, equipment hire, ski lessons, childcare, massages and beauty treatments.

Chalet La Petite Ourse
Adjoining Chalet La Grande Ourse, Chalet La Petite Ourse sleeps four to six people in two bedrooms: ideal for a family or small group of friends. Large groups and families, however, can book both the big and the little chalets together (sleeping 18 in total). The opulent lodge has an open-plan living, kitchen and dining room leading onto an outdoor terrace where guests can appreciate the magnificent views across the valley. Additionally, there is a warming sauna (shared with Chalet La Grande Ourse), a well-appointed ski room with heated boot dryers, Nintendo Wii and DVD library, plus Wi-Fi and Apple TV. After a day’s skiing, relax on the soft sofas and watch a film, or head to the sauna to sooth those stiff ski muscles.

Keen to promote the wonderful AliKats food and service, guests can choose from a number of optional extras to make their stay as effortless as possible. Select from home-made evening meals that are popped into the fridge when the guests are enjoying a day out on the slopes, a morning bakery delivery with fresh croissants and bread, or a pre-holiday grocery shop so customers arrive to a fully-stocked fridge.
