The new year is in full swing, and skiers and snow enthusiasts have been gearing up for an unforgettable season of powder-filled slopes and, of course, the legendary après ski festivities. Join us on a journey through the après ski events in Morzine, Isère, La Plagne, Portes Du Soleil, Verbier and Mayrhofen culminating in the grand finalé – the Black Eyed Peas closing party in Ischgl. 

Avoriaz – Snowboxx 

Tucked away in the heart of the French Alps, Morzine-Avoriaz boasts a lively après-ski culture that beckons adventure seekers from around the globe. Enter Snowboxx in Avoriaz, the highly anticipated springtime festival that unites top names and brands from the dance music scene. 

The Festival Village transforms into an arena nestled amidst mountains and chalets. Brimming with custom-built snow bars, retail stalls, and street food vendors, the Village sets the stage for five consecutive nights of live music. Picture 5,000 revellers swaying under the starlit sky, embraced by a pristine snowscape and towering peaks. 

Beyond the music, Snowboxx offers an array of exhilarating activities: from forest raves to igloo parties, and from legendary après-ski gatherings to bottomless brunches—all designed to keep your spirits high and energy levels soaring throughout the festivities!

La Plagne – Subli’Cimes  

The eighth edition of La Plagne’s original festival, Subli’Cimes, will return to the slopes from 6-11 April 2024. Free to anyone who has a valid lift pass, this original, interactive and entertaining event is spread across La Plagne’s five spectacular summits. Get ready to relax in a Jacuzzi with views of the Vanoise, visit an open-air museum at Live 3000, experience flying and freefalling safely, explore a magical snow grotto, and enjoy thrills at the amusement park. Non-skiers can reach all the summits via a gondola (apart from Rossa Peak in the Champagny-en-Vanoise section). 

Date: Saturday 6 April – Thursday 11 April, 2024 

Price: A week’s stay can cost from as little as £393 / €460. This includes a seven-night stay at an apartment or Club Hotel from 6 April 2024, plus a six-day ski pass for the La Plagne ski area, and ski rental (adult or child).

Portes du Soleil – Rock The Pistes 

For nearly a decade, the Rock the Pistes festival has been a cherished tradition, blending music and skiing for enthusiasts. Held during the third week of March, this event offers a one-of-a-kind experience amidst the high-altitude ski slopes. Fans enjoy morning ski sessions followed by afternoon open-air concerts. 

Located across the French-Swiss border, the Portes Du Soleil region boasts a vast network of interconnected resorts. Since Rock the Pistes inception in 2011, they have hosted renowned Franco-Swiss and international pop-rock artists for slope-side concerts. The festival features five concerts on the slopes spanning France and Switzerland, along with 30 après-ski performances across the Portes du Soleil resorts, drawing in 28,000 festival-goers. This year, enjoy the music of acclaimed French and international rock artists like Keziah Jones, Babyshambles, Shaka Ponk, Caravan Palace, Ben l’Oncle Soul, and many more.

Price: A seven-day concert ski pass costs from £277/ €324, which gives access to all the ski lifts of the Portes du Soleil ski area (Abondance, Avoriaz, Champéry, Champoussin, Châtel, La Chapelle d’Abondance, Les Crosets, Les Gets, Montriond, Morgins, Morzine, Saint Jean d’Aulps, Torgon) as well as to the concert sites.

Verbier – Red Bull Home Run  

Red Bull Homerun is back, and this year, it’s beckoning guests to Verbier on 6 April 2024. Nestled amidst the breathtaking views of the Alps, Verbier sets the stage for an unforgettable après-ski experience. 

But it’s not just about the race; Red Bull Homerun is synonymous with a vibrant party atmosphere. Picture live music, DJs spinning tunes, and an electrifying crowd cheering on participants as they conquer the slopes. As the race culminates, everyone gathers in front of the iconic 1936 Jurte to revel in the ‘After Race Party,’ celebrating the close of the season in true style. 

Beyond the competition, Red Bull Homerun transcends boundaries. It’s a gathering of skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts, alongside top-level athletes, coming together for moments of joy, community, and unparalleled flair.

Austrian Tirol – Snowbombing 

Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2024, Snowbombing is famous for its adrenaline-fuelled snowboarding and skiing and lively partying in the resort of Mayrhofen in the Zillertal Alps, with leading DJs, club nights and live acts performing. Think igloo raves, enchanted forest parties and above all, cutting-edge edge performances. This year’s line-up includes Fatboy Slim, Bicep and Andy C; it will be a festival to remember. 

Date: Monday 8 April – Saturday 13 April 2024

Ischgl – The Grand Finalé with Black Eyed Peas 

In a crescendo of excitement that’s sure to send shockwaves through the Austrian Tirol, the Black Eyed Peas are primed to close the curtains on Ischgl’s winter season with a Top of the Mountain Closing Concert like no other.
