Welcome to Eden: VIP SKI opens two new chalets in Alpe d’Huez

Young or old, experienced or beginner; Alpe d’Huez is a paradise for all winter-sports enthusiasts and those discovering their love for the French Alps. It is in this playful, sun-kissed setting – less than two hours from Grenoble airport – that VIP SKI will be opening two new chalets for Winter 2018-19, adding to its existing portfolio of five luxury ski-in, ski-out chalets in Alpe d’Huez.

Both new chalets, Eden East and Eden West, sit in the sparkling new Eden Blanc property, part of the exclusive Fontbelle area of the resort. The chalet doors are just a snowball’s throw from the DMC (Grandes Rousses) chair lift, making it easier to get out on the slopes in the morning and squeeze one extra run in at the end of the day. What’s more, guests are just 100m from the shops, bars and restaurants where they can discover more of what Alpe d’Huez has to offer.

In recent years, Alpe d’Huez has increased its offering for beginner skiers by developing fun-pistes on some the green and blue runs. Following the popularity of ‘Marcel’s Farm’ in the Signal area, the green Chez Roger piste in the Bergers area was transformed into a giant ‘cool ski’ zone, where winter-sports fans can gently practise their slalom, and ski over, through and around sheep-themed obstacles. In Auris-en-Oisans, the Corniche run has been lined with sculptures and even a see-saw, providing plenty of photo opportunities on the way down. Alpe d’Huez also introduced a four-season toboggan run – the first in France to offer a virtual reality experience – where visitors of all ages can ride the rollercoaster through the snow, visualising exhilarating scenery as they ride.

Guests staying at Eden East and Eden West will be able to discover all of this in addition to exploring the extent of the Alpe d’Huez grand domaine Ski area which includes the neighbouring resorts of Auris-en-Oisans, Oz-en-Oisans, Vaujany and Villard Reculas.

Eden East
Ski-in, ski-out Eden East is an ideal choice for four friends or a small family looking for a private ski experience in Alpe d’Huez. The two bedrooms both have en-suite bathrooms, and balconies from which guests can admire the impressive vistas of the surrounding mountains. VIP SKI’s dedicated host will provide a continental breakfast, afternoon tea, canapés on the first and last evening, and a three-course evening meal on six nights, followed by cheese board and coffee, served with a choice of red and white wine.

A seven-night stay arriving 21 April 2019 is priced from £1,119 pp (based on two sharing) and includes chalet-board accommodation, flights from London Gatwick, coach transfers, and VIP SKI’s dedicated chalet service.
Eden West
Eden West is also a ski-in, ski-out private chalet apartment in the new Eden Blanc property that promises spectacular alpine views from the living room and bedrooms. This chalet apartment sleeps six to eight guests in three en-suite bedrooms, one of which has additional bunk beds (charged at half the adult price) making this a fantastic space for two families or a group of friends.

A seven-night stay arriving 21 April 2019 is priced from £1,094 pp (based on two sharing) and includes chalet-board accommodation, flights from London Gatwick, coach transfers, and VIP SKI’s dedicated chalet service.

Skiers can save £100 pp on VIP SKI’s saver weeks when they book by 31 October 2018. The special offer can be applied to 6, 13, 20, 27 January and 17 March departures.
