VIP SKI pulls out all the stops for its guests this winter with new The Manoir in Morzine

VIP SKI is delighted to introduce The Manoir in Morzine to its collection of luxury chalets in the Alps. In celebration of this new addition, all guests staying in The Manoir will be treated to VIP SKI’s Platinum Service where they will be waited on hand and foot and return from holiday feeling truly pampered.

The Manoir was built in 1790 and was home to the local notary for two centuries. Grand and full of character, the historic building still retains its traditional French features: metre thick walls of local stone and horsehair, mosaic floors, flagstone halls, towering ceilings, huge rooms from when space had no premium and timber and plaster detailing from when labour was cheap.

Over the summer The Manoir has been stripped back and re-clad with VIP SKI’s modern day essentials added, including walk-in showers, roll top baths, flat screen TVs and Wi-Fi.

Andy Sturt, Managing Director of VIP SKI said “I first walked past this building in 1985, skis on shoulder, and another day at the office. I’ve walked past a thousand times since and never once not stopped to admire the most beautiful building in Morzine. Everyone stops to look. I couldn’t afford it when it came up for sale last year, but luckily I had a friend who could.”

The Manoir is situated right in the centre of Morzine, 200 yards from the piste and sleeps up to 15 guests in five en suite bedrooms, three of which have extra beds for children. There are two lounges, one formal, one with TV; a magnificent dining room, several fireplaces and a hot tub from which guests can admire the wonderful views of Morzine.

VIP SKI loves The Manoir and is keen to provide guests with the extra special service that staying in this opulent accommodation deserves, so every guest staying at The Manoir will be treated to VIP SKI’s Platinum Service.

VIP SKI’s Platinum Service aims to provide guests with all their favourite indulgences while on their ski holiday and includes valet parking, private taxi transfers, personal menus with matched wines and complimentary mini-bar. Guests will have their very own private chef who will call before the holiday to discuss guests’ individual likes and dislikes, then the sommelier will select fine wines to accompany the personal menu. What’s more, the chalet host will stock the complimentary mini-bar with all of guests’ favourite beers, soft drinks and snacks. At breakfast, a choice of espressos and home-made fruit smoothies will be available, along with an array of delicious cereals and cooked options sure to set guests up for a day’s skiing. Breakfast will be served on all seven mornings and a full cleaning service is undertaken each day. A mid-week linen and towel change is also included for Platinum guests.

VIP SKI believes that the holiday should be relaxing and luxurious from the start, so the Platinum Service makes travelling to the resort that bit more comfortable. It includes valet parking at the departure airport and a private taxi to whisk guests from the airport directly to their chalet. Guests won’t have to lift a finger throughout their stay; all they’ll need to think about is which part of the resort they’ll want to explore first!

Situated just 90 minutes’ drive from Geneva in the Portes du Soleil ski area, Morzine is a traditional family resort with a terrain to suit skiers of all abilities. As part of the Portes du Soleil ski area, Morzine offers 650km of piste in 14 resorts and two countries. Snowboarders will be in their element as they test out their skills in one of the many purpose built board parks in the extended ski area.

Prices at The Manoir start from £1,619 pp for seven nights’ catered accommodation with personal menu plan, champagne and canapé reception every evening and wake up drinks; return flights from London Gatwick with valet parking at the airport; private taxi transfers to and from the resort and VIP SKI’s dedicated chalet service.
