Last-minute availability in Jamaica

Some gorgeous villas are now available to rent in Discovery Bay, 20 minutes from Ocho Rios, and at Runaway Bay 15 minutes away. Lively Ocho Rios has a good range of restaurants and bars.

Alternatively there are villas available at the private Tryall Club, which is made up of eighty houses scattered over four hills with a golf course weaving through the middle.

All the prices here are for seven days and the villas come fully staffed including a chef. Travel is not included, and food is at extra cost.

Here’s what’s available:

Amanoka (5 bedrooms) in Discovery Bay is a most luxurious private villa with its own spa and an infinity pool. The decoration has an Indonesian influence with teak, bamboo and stone that complement each other perfectly. £13,250 per week, available on January 30, February 20, March 6.

Following Seas (6 bedrooms) is a beautiful hilltop villa overlooking the sea. It’s part of the Tryall Club, so it has an on-site beach club with watersports. There’s a beach club restaurant and you travel around the estate on golf carts, so you won’t have to walk a step if you don’t want to! £22,000 per week, available on February 22, March 13.

Fortlands Point (7 bedrooms) is a large beach house set in its own grounds at beautiful Discovery Bay and has four private beaches and coves. The enormous garden could easily host a private party for up to 170 people on the main lawn! £14,500 per week, available on 30, February 6.

Spanish Cove (6 bedrooms) is a modern whitewashed villa on the beach at Runaway Bay. It looks a bit like a Nantucket Beach villa with its calm tones. The villa is good value at £10,750 per week, available on January 23 and 30, February 6 and 20, March 5.

Keelawee (6 bedrooms) has huge bedrooms. The Mediterranean-style house is set on the beach at Discovery Bay and has a lovely large pool and a garden with a three-hole putting green. £10,750 per week, available on February 27, March 5.

Linga Awhile Cottage (3 bedrooms) is unusual in that you don’t often come across such tiny villas to rent – perfect for one family or three couples. The simple yet traditional villa at Discovery Bay has a large garden and a shared beach. £2,750 per week, available on February 13.

Rose Cottage (6 bedrooms) is a smart villa in the Tryall Club. It is decorated with an Asian influence, which adds to the atmosphere, and the master bedroom has 360-degrees views. The club has tennis courts and there are two pools: one for exercise and one for play, so this is where to come for a relaxed yet sporty holiday. £16,250 per week, available on January 23.

Sea Haven (4 bedrooms) is a rustic beach house for eight – with an open-plan feel to it – perfect for barefoot luxury! It’s located at Discovery Bay and is great for small groups. £3,500 per week, available on March 5 and 12.

Whispering Waters (7 bedrooms) is a beautiful house with a gorgeous beach at Discovery Bay. Every one of the bedrooms is a delight! The pool has a shallow paddling section that is closed off to the main pool but connected via a path – ideal for toddlers. £13,500 per week, available on January 30, February 20, March 5.

Windward Villa (6 bedrooms) is our favourite villa at the Tryall Club. It has a fun, modern and overall relaxed interior with mainly muted tones accented by splashes of colour. The kitchen is the biggest of any of the villas in the club and it follows that there’s an extremely high level of cuisine here. £14,250 per week, available on January 30, February 6 and 27, March 5 and 12.
