AliKats Mountain Holidays has two new chalets
Brand-new for the 2018-19 ski season, AliKats Mountain Holidays has taken on two beautiful, catered chalets in Morzine, the French Alps, increasing its exquisite hand-picked accommodation to 10.
Chalet Debussy and Chalet Bizet are both based in Morzine in the Portes du Soleil. Comprising 12 resorts between Mont Blanc in France and Lake Geneva in Switzerland, Morzine is a year-round traditional market town. Plus, with 600 km of slopes on offer and access to exciting off piste, the region is ideal for all levels of skier.
For those non-skiers, there are multiple activities available too: jump onto a sledge in the evening for a spot of night sledging (with head torches), click on a pair of snow shoes and explore the quiet Alpine paths or even try ice diving (and climbing) for that adrenalin hit. Alternatively, venture to the neighbouring village of Avoriaz (less than 30 minutes’ drive) and visit Aquariaz – a tropical-themed water park complete with lush vegetation, an aquatic half pipe and an open-air spa.

Chalet Debussy
Named after the famous French composer who wrote the renowned ‘Clair de Lune’, Chalet Debussy has been meticulously renovated to an exceptionally-high standard using the finest-local materials and expert craftmanship. More than 200 years old, the chalet sleeps up to eight adults and seven children in two suites and two spacious bedrooms. Throughout the opulent chalet, marvel at the spectacular original features and make the most of the breath-taking views across Morzine.
Inside, Chalet Debussy comprises a sociable living space, suspended fireplace and raised snug area with a flat-screen television. After a day on the slopes, guests can dine at the large, wooden, 200-year-old dining table before sinking into the bubbling hot tub and watch the sun set across the valley.
Additional features include a ski room with boot warmers, a spacious balcony – ideal for pre-dinner, or after-dinner drinks – and WiFi thoughout. The stylish interior, with warming beams, soft rugs and clever-lighting arrangements creates a welcoming and relaxing atmonsphere; a perfect place to stay on a ski or snowboarding holiday with friends or family. Chalet Bizet Discover a touch of luxury Parisian design nestled in the Alps at Chalet Bizet, named after Georges Bizet, a French composer of the romantic era. The two owners hail from Versailles; the influence of this aristocratic city can be seen throughout the chalet, from its stylish bar to its handpicked furnicture; making it a decadent living space.
Sleeping six to nine people in two suites and a spacious double room, the white and cream of the tasteful décor, combined with splashes of colour, give the chalet its rich and sleek style.
Skiers and snowboarders can make the most of the inviting hot tub and warming sauna following an active day in the Alps, or sip a well-deserved beverage on the terrace overlooking the characterful village and magnificent mountains.
Although Chalet Bizet was built more than 200 years ago, the original timber has been cleverly combined with elegant fittings, bold artwork and modern bathrooms, making it a special space to indulge in.
